We Pass This Way But Once.......

Disclaimer – Content is explicitly for To The Next Generation of Faculty ( 2005 Pass-outs and above) . I Am pretty much aware that am too young to suggest to the elders.

Kindly ignore if you are offended.

Guys/Girls,

First – The title has noting to do with what your going to read
Second – I might be wrong about First point as I haven't yet decided what the conclusion is going to be.....

No one likes to take advices. No one likes to change.

And I am %100x^y100 (the scientific calc way) sure this one is not going to work either.

Oh Come on, We are bloody humans, we dont change for nothing. I dint , no one will.

Then what is this about ?

Freedom of Thought......And since am going to pen them down , freedom of expression.

I just remembered being cornered for not opting for a subject, which is assumed to be tougher, and going for another ,which is proved to be easier at one point in time during …..  (intentionally censored, doesn't really matter).

I have utmost respect for a teacher at all times. But that one instance, I remember talking against to justify why I had to choose. I should not have done that. After all , the semester was completed, a word or two about the past doesn't change the future.

Question I asked was … Why should I choose something which I dont like ?

…......

Its not just about choice of subject that am speaking now of, its of life.

Life, the only truth that every morning we wake up to , and the only dream that we sleep for.

For a trained mind its no difficult a task to realize this fact. But then we fail miserably to identify it and eventually remain confused.

Then , how different would it be if I stop working now and go for medical studies ?

Its merely a choice that my damn mind has to make.

A bloody choice.

Please please please guys, dont expect every engineer to launch satellite into the orbit or design a Agni or Pruthvi, not every one is Dr.Kalam (his excellency) .

Dont expect every one to study things their instincts doesnt adapt to.

You must be remembering 3-idiots.

But, here is my version …..

I taught for a while , and teaching is , undoubtedly a great and divinely profession.

Our job is to train the mind to think in the way the books say, or to be specific , in the way things actually work.

Our job is to take a blank pendrive and feed in to it, the first useful information without damaging it.

And trust me , it ends there.

How that trained brain makes use of the information is beyond our scope.

Give advice, dont expect the student to follow it. He might be on his way to make history by taking the unbeaten track. So never take it personal.

Let him burn couple of links in his brain by the attempts. They will reform into a new network, a Package in Database terminology.

….........

Well, that was about giving advice and not expecting the person to follow it.

And the next point......... Important....... The most.....

There is no pre-set destiny for anyone's life.

For No Ones Life. ( Unless you are from the Sonia Gandhi Family  !!!)

For god's sake, accept this fact.      ( not the Gandhi family fact, am taking about DESTINY)

Being in electrical stream , people would say don't go to software like others, join core company. After all you study electrical for 4 years and then how can you join software. I kept hearing this from the day 1 I joined professional study.

Unfortunately, when I ask some one his company name , the one working in a core company would sharply reply

"its core," with a tone like that of the king who won the battle.

Oh really !, how divine, i think you are the founder and ceo of the firm ? , dude I asked the bloody name of the company.

Or at-least they will add CORE after uttering the company name, as it were a new firm that people are unaware of its activities.

I don't understand what people are so proud of ?

SERVING ? ... we are all serving.

End of day , only one fact matters - Whats your earning for the day ?

The British system of education has already polluted our mind and soul. We hardly think creatively.
But we are mature enough , we know what's right, what's wrong. they why this narrow mindedness.

"Yes am sticking to software, If I don't put my brain to work at-least 5 days a week, i don't feel like am alive.I push my thoughts beyond the horizon of the bookish facts and find the ground realities by playing around the machine "

When I was born I did not know that am good at  programming, else i would have opted Computers.... that would be my answer.

But how different that would have been ?.

Assume I opted for Commerce as am good at maths, would I still not be struggling to earn that extra penny for my belly ?

So my friend, you never know what tomorrow will be like.

Let people do what they are willing or enjoy doing.

There was a scientist, ( I don't remember the name) who was a postmaster and yet patented number of inventions.

.....................

Thats it .

If possible encourage students to take challenges, tell them dont just run hither thither for money. Tell them to find life, money will eventually find them.

Question yourself - "What's my purpose here ?"

I think the answer to that question will be our destiny, if there is any and there will one be for sure.

......................

A beggar struggles for a penny for his food, and so does a billionaire. Difference being that the books of accounts reflect increased number of ZERO's to the right of ONE for the later.

So you see, life runs on binary ( 0 & 1) then why complicate it with useless postulates.

If you can, then teach them how to use the BRAIN. Tell them ways and means to multiply a penny.

Trust me , you will be remembered for ever.

Wish you a happy teaching. And am really proud of what you are doing for the nation.

Coffee Shop With A Difference

That's A Road Side Coffee Shop -

Under the shade of a massive palm tree,
With the early morning breeze blowing in a polite rhythm,
Soothing the deepest of the anguish if any,
The vehicles zooming past on the highway,
With the Stone seating like that in a remote village,
And a hot Ginger tea finding its way down the throat,
Sending a relieving chill with every sip.

Thats a Road Side Coffee Shop -

With the old man's expert hand's in making that ginger tea,
About to break pot's, almost the age of the man that we see,
With her motherly touch the old lady offers an unparalleled kindness,
Its not the drink that's relieving, its the place, i believe
Under the shade of the massive palm tree,
And the stone seating like that in a remote village.
It’s the expert hand and the motherly touch that the drink receives.

That, my friend, was the Road Side Coffee Shop -
